MA Florian Lang is a project researcher for the Migration, Diversity and Justice Cluster at the Institute for European Studies. He is currently involved in the FP7 SOURCE Project on societal security and the Horizon-2020 Mindb4Act Project on prevention of radicalization and violent extremism in Europe.

Before joining in the IES in November 2017, Florian worked as a freelance writer for EU Observer, where he published analytical pieces on issues related to far-right populism and democratic backsliding in Europe.

Florian holds two Master Degrees, one in European Integration Studies from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and the other in Human Rights Studies (with honors) from the University of Vienna.
