Dr. Mine Yıldız (Ph.D. Political Science, Hacettepe University, Ankara) wrote her dissertation on the role of parliamentary assistants in the support system of the legislative activities of Turkish Members of Parliament. The issue of her thesis was the first study in this topic in Turkey.

1995-1997 she worked as a research assistant at the Cumhuriet University in Sivas. 2013 she worked as a lecturer/instructor in the Department of Political Sciences and International Relations at the Başkent University in Ankara.

Besides this academic work, she sarted working in parallel 1997-2016 as politicy advisor for the Turkish Social Democrate Party.

In addition, became active as well as a freelance journalist and blogger. These articles were published in printed and online media such as Cumhuriyet, BirGün, Haber Sol, İleri Haber, Mülkiye Haber. 

September-December 2018, she was visiting researcher, since January 2019 she is Associate Researcher at the VUB Institute for European Studies.

Her research focusses on the impact on their motherland and on the domestic political situation of immigrant-origin Members of Parliament (MPs) in Belgium and other EU countries.
