Prof. Ricardo Gosalbo Bono

 

Prof. Ricardo Gosalbo Bono (Doctor of Laws University of Valencia; Doctor of Philosophy Cambridge University) has been the Director of the External Relations Team at the Legal Service of the Council of the European Union since 1998. Previously, he served as Legal Advisor at the Legal Service of the European Commission (1988-1998) and as Legal Advisor at the Office of Legal Affairs of the United Nations in New York (1982-1988).

He is a part-time LL.M. Professor and part-time Professor of European Union Law at the International University "Menéndez y Pelayo", Spain (1999 to date). In addition, he is an Honorary Professor of International Trade Law at the University of Barcelona (2002 - to date), former Visiting Professor of European Union Law at the University of Cambridge (1993-1994), former Professor of Comparative Private International Law at the University of Geneva (1979-1981) and former Lecturer of International Law at the University of Valencia (1973-1979).

He is a Member of the Spanish Bar, Member of the Middle Temple Inn of Court, England, Honorary Member of the Mount Vermont Bar Association in New York, and Member of the Asociacion Espanola de Derecho Internacional and Member of the Société de législation comparée.

His publications include numerous book chapters and articles in journals such as the Common Market Law Review, Yearbook of European Law, Revue trimestrielle de droit européen, Repertoire Dalloz, Revue française d'administration publique, Revista General del Derecho, Revista de Derecho Comunitario Europeo, Anuario de Derecho Internacional, University of Pittsburgh Law Review, and Revue de l'Union européenne.
