IES Spring Lecture Series: Making Malmö Real: EGovernment in the EU

Wednesday 7 December: From Electronic Government to Collaborative Governance
Matt Poelmans, HEC & Julia Glidden, 21c Consultancy and Institute for European Studies, Vrije Universiteit Brussel

This lecture will start the discussion on the final topic of the lecture series: participation in policymaking. Both speakers will cover the evolution of the use of ICT in policy making towards the engagement with/of citizens. Topics to be covered will include electronic participation in policy making on a European scale, crowd sourcing for better policymaking and collaborative governance. Examples will be drawn from the Dutch and European levels.
