17 Oct 2012 18:00
17 Oct 2012 20:00

In this session of the lecture series, the many different scenarios that have been published on how to achieve decarbonisation by 2050 will be discussed. This lecture will address several questions, including what is at stake and why is it essential that the energy sector decarbonises? What will a decarbonised EU look like? Looking across various scenarios, where are the major uncertainties about the future to be found? What sort of technologies are bound to play a crucial role in the energy sector of the future? And what sort of policies could be needed to push the EU towards these crucial technologies?
