The Executive Course in Global Risk Analysis & Crisis Management provides participants with unique insights and fundamental skills required for mastering the field of global risk analysis, early warning and the management of major man-made and natural disasters. With the entry into force of the Treaty of Lisbon new decision making rules apply to the drafting of European legislation. With the extension of the use of co-decision to key policy areas, the European Parliament now directly negotiates and co-legislates with the European Council on highly salient issues such as migration and asylum policy. This Policy Forum will discuss the role of the European Parliament as a co-legislator in Justice and Home Affairs, focusing particularly on migration and asylum policy. The Policy Forum will start with a keynote from Prof. Dr. Ripoll-Servent. Then the practitioners on the expert panel will share their insight on the new roles of the European Parliament and its parties in European migration and asylum politics.
