IES researcher Mohammad Salman contributes to new Flemish strategic report about education for refugees

The Flemish Education Council (VLOR – Vlaamse Onderwijsraad) has recently issued a strategic exploratory report about education for refugees in Flanders. IES postdoctoral researcher Mohammad Salman, who between 2015 and 2017 established and led a programme to bring highly educated refugees to the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, contributed to the report by providing specific advice to VLOR based on his extensive experience in this subject matter. Mohammad Salman currently works on research projects and prepares publications on Integration of Refugees in the EU. He is also a consultant for the European Commission in related to higher education refugees programmes and a member of the Advisory Board for a research project organized by ACA, DAAD and EDUFI under H2020’s Science4Refugees. The Flemish Education Council is the official advisory body on the education and training policy of the Flemish Community.
