Follow up on Global Internet Policy Observatory Project: Website Launched

In follow up to the GIPO (Global Internet Policy Observatory) feasibility study, where the Institute for European Studies is involved in the implementation part, the website has now been launched ( The team also organised a webinar on Introduction to Global Internet Policy Observatory online platform on 30 April 2015.

This project, financed by the European Commission, sets out to develop a tool for collecting and displaying information concerning issues of global Internet governance. Jamal Shahin and Trisha Meyer worked on developing a governance framework for the Advisory Board, which provides guidance and suggestions on the best way to make the platform work. Announcements on the selection of advisory group members will be made on this platform.

The feasibility study for the Global Internet Policy Observatory was carried out by Open Evidence and the Institute for European Studies of Vrje Universiteit Brussels.
