Astrid SCHOMAKER (PILC 1990) was promoted to the post of Director for Strategy at the European Commission's Directorate General (DG) for Environment.

Simon WIEDUWILT (PILC 2014) published his LLM thesis on "Article 50 TEU – The Legal Framework of a Withdrawal from the European Union" in the Zeitschrift für Europarechtliche Studien (ZEuS).


Emilia VAVREKOVA (PILC 2014) is a Political Attaché for one of the
political Groups at European Parliament, serving mainly Slovak MEPs. She
was a trainee at the European Parliament immediately after finishing






María MIGOYA (PILC 2014) started in January 2015 as a trainee at the United Nations in New York, where she has now been offered a consultant position.






Federica BALDAN is a PhD researcher at the University of Antwerp. Her research focuses on judicial coherence in the European patent system






Dalia Lahdo (PILC 2014) is a legal and policy adviser for a Swedish Member of the European Parliament.  Dalia follows the committee of Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs with main focus on migration and  human rights issues






After her traineeship at the European Commission's DG Agriculture and Rural Development, Carla FORNESA ROCA (PILC 2014) was offered a position as Legal Officer in the Unit for Agricultural Law & Simplification.










Irene OTERO FERNANDEZ (PILC 2014) is a PhD Researcher at the European University Institute in Florence. Her topic is privacy and data protection implications of civil drones in the EU.

Guillem GUIMET (PILC 2014) is an Associate in the Corporate, Banking and Finance department at Elvinger, Hoss & Prussen, one of Luxembourg leading law firms.






Clara GARCIA FERNANDEZ (PILC 2014) is a trainee lawyer at Van Bael & Bellis in Brussels. After graduating in PILC, she also completed a traineeship at the European Commission's DG Trade.






Aliki SEMERTZI (PILC 2011) is successfully pursuing her studies in International Law at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. Her article on 'The preclusion of direct 
effect in the recently concluded EU free trade agreements' was published last year in the Common Market Law Review (Vol. 51, Issue 4, 2014). Immediately after PILC, she was first a trainee and later a policy 
officer at the European Commission's DG Trade.




Pauline NGURU (PILC 2012) and Karolina GUTT-MOSTOWY (PILC 2013) both started working in the Unit for Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer of the European Commission's Joint Research Centre. Until the European Parliament's elections in May 2014, Pauline had served as accredited Assistant to Irish Member of the European Parliament Nessa 


Viktoriya PETRIKOVA (PILC 2011) started working as Legal Officer at the European Commission's European Personnel Selection Office in January.


Konstantina BANIA (PILC 2009) submitted her doctoral dissertation at the European University Institute, exploring how EU competition law can be applied so as to take account of media pluralism. The defence is planned for October-November. In the meantime, Konstantina is a Fellow at the Centre for Technology and Society at FGV Direito Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she is teaching a course on "Competition Policy in Digital Media". To advance with her PhD research, Konstantina recently served as research fellow at the European Broadcasting Union in Geneva (Switzerland) and visiting scholar at Fordham Law School (New York).



Justyna BIELASIK (PILC 2008) continues to enjoy her work as Legal & Compliance Manager at the Westmont Hospitality Group in Luxembourg.
