European Peace & Security Studies Lecture Series 2012
This year's Lecture Series in European Peace and Security Studies, jointly organized by Vesalius College and the Institute for European Studies in cooperation with the Royal Military Academy and the Global Governance Institute will bring together senior officials and experts in order to examine major topics related contemporary security issues. Topics range from future stability in Afghanistan (Imtiaz Gul), the capacity of International Organizations to address contemporary challenges (Dr Antonio Costa), 'Being a Humanitarian' and the EU's Crisis Response to Syria and Libya (Dr Agostino Miozzo) , Rethinking the Impact of Peacebuilding (Andre Kahlmeyer), EU's response to Human Trafficking (Dr. Myria Vassiliadou) and EU approaches to Cybersecurity (Col. Christof Tatschl).

Registration & Venue
The lectures will take place on Tuesday evenings (apart from the Lectures on 15 November and 5 December), from 18:00 until 20:00. The duration of the lectures is around 40 minutes and a Q&A session of 30 minutes. A light reception will be provided afterwards.
Attendance is free of charge, but registration is required by sending an email to workshop@globalgovernance.eu (stating your name and organizational affiliation and the specific lecture you would like to attend).
