Léonie joined the IES in March 2016. She manages a portfolio of projects, among which the EU-funded research project EL-CSID. She is also involved in the organisation of the summer school and the postgraduate certificate in EU policy making.
Before joining the IES, Léonie worked as a project manager and research assistant at the UNU-CRIS Institute. She also gained experience as a trainee at the Council of the European Union (General Secretariat, DG Foreign Affairs) and as a research intern at UNU-CRIS (Regional Peace and Security research programme).
Léonie holds a M.Sc. Public Policy and Human Development, with a specialisation in Social Policy Design, from the University of Maastricht and a B.A. Political Science from the University of Namur.
