Alina Christova joined the Institute for European Studies in 2009 and is currently part of the Educational Development Unit. She is a fully trained German lawyer with a specialisation in European Union law, international law and East European law. Previoiusly, she has worked for the Council of the European Union, the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights in Warsaw and for several university institutions in Berlin. In her current position, she has been involved in teaching and training on EU matters including amongst others the institutional set-up of the EU, decision-making procedures, foreign policy, security and defence policy, migration policy issues, etc. Moreover, she has been working on the further development of the online learning platform E-Modules and the blended learning concept of the IES.
