Training

EU Training sessions

On a regular basis, the IES organises training sessions on European Union institutions and policy processes. The sessions are designed for students and professionals seeking a better understanding of the European structures and the EU decision-making process. We also organise more specialized seminars, with a focus on one specific policy field.

The training sessions, built on the outstanding academic expertise of the Institute for European Studies, offer an intensive programme, designed to cover the essentials of the European Union. The IES training concept promotes a balanced approach, where theory and practice complement each other to facilitate the learning experience.

EU Customized Training Sessions

Drawing on its well-known academic expertise in EU matters, the IES is furthermore specialised in organizing and conducting customised training sessions and seminars for national governments, companies and organizations.

The objective of these training sessions is to broaden and update the background knowledge regarding EU institutions, structures and procedures relevant for the everyday work of the entity. The training sessions synthesize academic and practical knowledge, including the latest developments in the field, thus providing a comprehensive overview of the topic under consideration. The subject, curriculum and duration of the training sessions are developed in cooperation with the respective company/organisation to best meet its specific training needs.

Examples of customised training can be found here (pdf).

E-learning: Learn more about the EU with E-modules

In addition to its regular training sessions, the IES offers the possibility of combining the seminars with access to its E-modules via an e-learning platform that provides essential information on the European Union in a user-friendly format. The online content can be used as support material and reference tool before, during and after the training session and is an ideal instrument for self-evaluation.
