Application

A full application file should be sent to secrpilc@vub.ac.be, which includes the folllowing documents:

  • the application form [download as Adobe PDF (3Mb) file or as MS Word file]
  • two confidential letters of reference [download as MS Word (304 Kb) or Adobe PDF file (520 Kb)] to be supplied separately by the referees to the secretariat of the LLM.
  • an official copy of latest academic record and final law degree/marks (certified with seal or signature)
  • a certificate of proficiency in English, except when the law degree was awarded by an English language University
  • two signed photographs (passport size)
  • Statement Financial Resources (to be completed by non-EU citizens) [download as MS Word (68 Kb) or as Adobe PDF (120 Kb) file]
  • If applying for a Tuition Waiver please submit a 1000-word personal statement, outlining the ways in which you satisfy these criteria (academic merit and demonstrable need).
    Students must attach evidence of both need and merit as part of the overall application file.

Do not translate names of the schools attended or diplomas received, but please answer all questions in English. The written references should be sent separately to the LLM office by the referees.

Deadline to apply: 29 February 2012.

However, applicants are strongly encouraged to send their applications so they reach IES before mid-February.
