Solidarity Grant

  Junior researchers who are based in countries that have a GDP which is less than half of that of the EU's member states (IMF 2006 figures) are eligible to apply for a solidarity grant. This grant will be awarded to the ten highest-rated abstracts from the eligible pool, and consists of a payment of 350€ to partially cover the costs of travel, accommodation, and registration fees for the conference.

Countries covered include: all developing countries, except The Bahamas, Bahrain, Brunei Darussalam, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Trinidad and Tobago, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates. It also includes Bulgaria, Romania, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovak Republic, Hungary and Estonia.
